On the journey of life, there are times of adversity that weave through our stories, shaping us into the individuals we are destined to become. My own journey is a testament to the transformative power of perseverance, resilience, and unwavering determination.

Today, I'm going to tell you a personal story. Not long ago, I found myself in the depths of despair, struggling with the harsh reality of homelessness. How did my life go so wrong? Without being financial able to buy or rent a house, I kindly accepted my sister and her husband's offer to live with them. Their home becoming my sanctuary in my chaotic world of uncertainty.

Amidst the darkness, a flicker of hope ignited within me. I was determined to live a life I loved, although I did not know the how, I know there was more to life and a brighter future, I embarked on a journey of self-discovery. It was during this time of adversity, that I read about an opportunity that would change the trajectory of my life forever – the world of virtual assistants. I never even know this role existed, let alone how to become one!

I purchased a laptop and set out to build my own virtual assistant business as a side hustle, so that I could afford the rent on my own house. I was already working 60-80hrs a week as a Event Manager, but know I could somehow make it work. Despite the challenges that lay ahead, trying to figure out how to set up a website was just one of them, I refused to be deterred by the daunting odds stacked against me.

With determination, I honed my skills, I was like a sponge taking in every bit of information I could, to make my business work. I leveraging the power of technology, subscribed to endless courses in my quest to deliver exceptional service to my clients. Each day presented new challenges, but with each obstacle overcome, I grew stronger, more resilient than before.

As my business flourished, so too did my dreams of owning my own home. With unwavering focus and a commitment to my goals, I saved diligently, channeling every bit of my energy into building a better future for myself and my loved ones.

And then, against all odds, as I was still unable to purchase my own home, an opportunity presented itself to me – the chance to purchase a Buy to Let Property. This created the foundation of my property portfolio. It was a moment of triumph, a testament to the resilience within me and the power of perseverance in the face of adversity.

Today, I am reminded of the journey that brought me here – a journey marked by doubt and uncertainty, but defined by hope, a willingness to succeed and not give up! My story is a testament to the boundless potential that lies within each of us, waiting to be unlocked in the pursuit of our greatest aspirations.

To those facing difficult circumstances and situations, I offer these simple words – that within every setback lies the seed of opportunity, waiting to be nurtured and blossom. With courage, determination and a belief to dream the impossible, lies a journey to success and happiness.
